@81Summa hi there, just wandering how your treatments are going? Have u had your 4th treatment yet? Im going in for my 2nd treatment tomorrow. Just wanting to know if your treatments are working and if the hair growth in between the treatments has slowed down? Also , what kind of laser are they using on you? Have you heard of many success stories with permanent removal of the hair?

  2. myspicylife says:

@aurasb Thanks for your insights. I’m sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience! : (

  3. myspicylife says:

@ItsJustMeNaina Yes, I shave between treatments, but I stop shaving about a week before my appointment and just allow the hairs to poke out so the esthetician can actually see the hair that’s coming in

  4. myspicylife says:

@81Summa Hi!! No, haven’t had the 4th treatment yet!! I’m scheduled for August 17th — but I might have to reschedule! I’ll have a video up in a few days explaining why! The growth has slowed down — and stopped in some areas — but in other areas, the hair is still growing! Um….I don’t know the exact name of the laser — I’ll try to find out and mention it in my next video, though. As for success stories — 2 friends of mine have had great success!

  6. ItsJustMeNaina says:

@myspicylife and you have no problems with acne and weird spots on your face from the shaving? I’m scared to go back! :$

  7. myspicylife says:

@ItsJustMeNaina No, I don’t have any problems with acne or weird spots on my face from shaving. I use real shaving cream, my own personal “man’s” razor with a good pivoting blade, and aftershave! I also use Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Peel to exfoliate my skin 2 or 3 times per week.

  8. ItsJustMeNaina says:

@myspicylife Ohhh but do you get harsh stubble then because of the mens razor? I shave with aloe vera gel with just a regular shaver so im not sure why my skin is getting these odd spots. I think i might just go back with waxing

  9. myspicylife says:

@ItsJustMeNaina No, I don’t get any harsh stubble because most of the really thick hairs are gone now from the laser treatments I’ve already done. The hairs that are left are much softer now.

    You are very pretty :)

@JillnRe Thanks for the compliment (and thanks for subscribing)!! You made my day!

Hi Spicy Girl, just wanted to mention that hirsute women like you and I will probably need to do touch ups in the years to come. But it is oh-so worth it. You and I are making great progress. I have had 4 treatments now and for the first time in my adult life, I have soft pretty skin on my face and won’t freak out if a man strokes my chin. I have never had the redness that you have had after my treatments, although I have felt the heat. Advil or aspirin is a great idea.

  13. myspicylife says:

@twasneverthus Thanks so much for watching the videos — I appreciate your comments! I am thrilled that you’re having great results (and a bit jealous that you’re not getting the redness that I am). But I’m plugging away! I’ll have an updated video this weekend!

I have hormone imbalance i have more male hormones :( and i have a lottt of facial hair and i am dying for lasel hair removal I want to know though cause my facial hair grows within a few days after I wax and so when i do my first lasel hair removel treatment do i have to wait 11 weeks? or for me i can go when it first grows back?

  15. myspicylife says:

@parfumfashion The spa spaced out my treatment plan to go back every 5-6 weeks until I was done with the treatments. The only reason why I had to wait 11 weeks is due to scheduling conflicts with appointments. You will have to wait a few weeks between sessions because hair has different growing cycles. It would probably be best if you went to talk to an esthetician at a spa that does laser hair removal so they can assess your skin and hair type. Good luck!

  16. parfumfashion says:

@myspicylife oh ok thank you I will :)

  17. sajonaee says:

What type of laser is this? Like IPL or something else? What did the groupon deal say? Please let me know! I’m (and I’m pretty sure many others well) are desperate to know!

  18. myspicylife says:

@sajonaee The laser is called “Lumenis Light Sheer Laser”. The groupon for the spa I go to was purchased over a year ago — so it’s not available any more. You might check for groupons in your area, though!

  19. The29thStreet says:

Can you bleach the hair while you’re waiting for it to grow back..?

  20. myspicylife says:

@The29thStreet My esthetician told me that the laser really only works well when the hairs are dark and the skin is pale. So, I imagine bleaching the hairs would defeat the purpose. I guess it depends upon the laser being used. They asked me to shave in between treatments since the hairs have to stay in the follicle in order to get zapped. Hope that helps! Good luck!
